I had just made some Christmas cards that I was quite fond of, and decided to try something a bit different - a Valentines card. I was initially creating it for my partner, but it ended up not really being his style, so I decided to offer it up to other people who may be able to make better use of it.

Honestly, I was just messing around with the brush settings on my Wacom tablet. Next thing I knew, some roguish blue-haired devil was staring me down. He was handsome, but evil… I feel like the sentiment he expresses on the card is probably a common one among handsome, evil, one-eyed people.

Local San Francisco Illustrator and artist Lisa Congdon takes inspiration from the trees and animals that surrounded her living in Upstate New York and Northern California for her subjects. The details in her work might have something do to with her being a self proclaimed collector of odd and unusual things. Whatever the basis for her art work and illustrations, we are happy to see the world through her eyes with each beautiful piece she creates.
